Custom Cargo Bike Trailers, Workbikes, and Pedicabs
In addition to our standard bike trailers, we also build custom bike trailers, workbikes, and pedicabs (bicycle rickshaws). Some of the previous work we have done is illustrated on this page.
We fabricate most custom trailers using 6061 and 6063 aluminum alloys. Most workbikes and pedicabs are made of chrome-moly and mild steel. We have the equipment for bending most common sizes of tubing. Welding is performed using the TIG process. All steel parts are powdercoated, which we do entirely in-house in your colors of your choice.
Cost
Most custom trailer projects start at $700, most workbikes at $2000, and most pedicabs at $4000. The actual cost depends on the complexity of the project and the amount of time required to complete it. Please note that it will always be less expensive to buy a standard, off-the-shelf item from us or someone else than for us to try to replicate something in a custom project.
Lead Time
Custom projects are typically fabricated during the winter when demand for our standard products is lower. Consequently, the lead time is considerable. If our order book is full, lead time can be over a year.
